- Finished second on the club with 179 shots.

He really needs to get his Sh*t together. A 3rd line center needs higher shooting percentages than 5.6%

I was doing a little research on the new Av station that I won't be able to listen to unless they, oh, put up new towers or something so that their signal goes beyond the DU campus or whereever the hell they can currently be found, and went to their website to see if there was any news or any way I could inquire about their expansion plans. I was disappointed to NOT SEE ANY NEWS ABOUT THEM COVERING THE AVS and Nuggets on their front page, but did stumble accross a blogging personality they have who, Roy forbid, actually does talk hockey. He has some interviews with former Avs, including a most recent one from Sandis.

This Is Reassuring

As the hockey off-season creeps along, I'm busily preparing to begin my first year of law school (1L for the jargon-inclined). Orientation begins next week and is three eight-hour sessions. I pondered what a 40-hour work week + school + blogging the hockey season will do to my poor little mind, and then passed out. I then woke up and remembered I'm in the middle of some list of hockey players or something. I guess I better work on that.

ESPN The Magazine has a list of the top five sporting brawls, and the Avs/Wings fight of 3/26/97 is ranked fourth. Look, Nolan Ryan beating the living crap out of Robbie Ventura was awesome, but it lasted 30 seconds and never had a rematch. The Brawl In Emptytown lasted THE ENTIRE GAME and the bad blood lasted NEARLY A DECADE. And why does the magazine incarnation of a television network have a web site? Is there a rift in time somewhere because of this?

This would explain why he was so ineffective this season. He just had alot on his mind...

Minnesota is putting Stephane Veilleux on waivers. As long as the Avs don't go and sign him, it's good to see that little putz get the boot. I couldn't imagine having him AND McCleod on the same team, we're getting "pesty" enough as it is.
